Engineered for Demanding Environments

FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic) grating is produced through a moulded, single-piece construction that integrates continuous fibreglass strands with premium resin systems. This combination results in an exceptionally strong, corrosion-resistant product ideal for harsh industrial conditions, including chemical processing, marine, and offshore installations. The lightweight design simplifies transport and installation, while the non-conductive, anti-slip surface enhances safety in challenging settings. With various resin options—such as isophthalic polyester or vinyl ester—FRP grating offers superior resistance to chemicals, UV exposure, and fire risks.

Benefits:

  • Strength Vs weight: Fibreglass Grating is lightweight yet still retains its ability to evenly distribute applied loads to adjoining bars.
  • Safe to use in combustible areas: unlike steel, this product has the valuable attribute of being non sparking, making it ideal for use in areas where accidental sparks may occur.
  • Non-magnetic.
  • Non-conductive.
  • Easy to cut on site: using standard cutting tools you can make quick adjustments and or cut to size on site.
  • Corrosion resistant.
  • No load bar direction required (bi-directional).

FRP Step Treads

Our fibreglass grating treads are made to order and can be manufactured to suit your specific project requirements. These treads are produced with the performance characteristics of a T5 grating step tread, delivering strength, durability, and safety.

Fibreglass grating treads are an ideal solution where stair treads are required to be:
– Corrosion resistant
– Strong and durable
– Fire resistant
Note: Stock panels are also available in the industry standard size of 310mm x 3660mm.

Fixing Accessories

FRP Clip – 316 Stainless Steel

Our EX clip, manufactured in 316 stainless steel, is the
most commonly used method for securing fibreglass
grating to structural supports. Installed from the top of
the grating, a minimum of four clips per square metre is
recommended to ensure secure and reliable fixing.
